Ella's Closet/ Light House Cafe
Students travel to the Light House Cafe and serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in the cafe and the new and improved Ella's Closet which is also located inside the cafe. As nonprofit organizations, the Light House Cafe serves lunch to those around the community and Ella's Closet provides baby items to mothers who can't afford them. Students help prepare and serve lunch while also helping out with anything the closet may need, (e.g. sorting clothes, stacking shelves with new items etc,). Students are able to spread God's love through serving and helping at the Light House Cafe and Ella's Closet.
Cleaning/
Kitchen Crew
It's more than just cleaning, its cleaning while dancing or laughing with your friends and that is always a plus! As the cleaning/kitchen crew, students are given the opportunity to serve around the church. Students in these two groups make sure different areas around the church stay clean throughout the week. They help prepare lunches for the VBX and Sports Camp kids while also assisting in serving lunch to the VBX group. Students help clean up after lunch is served and finished and prepare items for the following day.
VBX
Vacation Bible Xperience is the new Vacation Bible School because who wants to go to school during the summer? Throughout the week students will help lead children and workshops for those in grades K-3 through 6th grade. Students are given the opportunity to lead games, crafts, worship, Bible lessons and more. Though these opportunities they are able to show the love of Jesus to those attending VBX. Over the years, we have witnessed many children give their lives to Christ as a result of God moving in powerful ways through VBX.
Paint Crew
Roll up your sleeves, get your brushes, rollers and ladders ready because you're on paint crew! Students on paint crew are given an amazing opportunity to serve the community and bless families by giving their home a new look. Even though the summer heat gets unbearable at times, the paint crew has a special opportunity. Seeing families smile or even cry because a group of students are serving the Lord by painting their house is well worth it in the end. Oh, and did I mention paint wars? You can almost guarantee you will come back with some or all of the paint on you when the day is over :)
Sports Camp
If you enjoy playing all kinds of games with kids, or maybe need some extra cardio, then Sports Camp is for you! Students get the opportunity to show God's love to children throughout the community. Kids from all over the community come out and play games, eat snacks and have bible studies. Do your part in skits, pick sports teams and bring your bathing suit for the last day, also known as WATER DAY! This day is spent at the local water park and trust when we say you'll love this day because after 4 days in the sun, you'll need something "cool" to end the week.
Christ Fellowship Life Center
FBC is blessed to partner with the Big C church alongside Christ Fellowship serving at the Life Center. Students who are involved with this group travel to the Life Center and get the opportunity to interact with the kids who attend Christ Fellowship's Life Center regularly. Activities such as arts and crafts, games, Bible study and park time are involved. The Life Center is another great opportunity to pour Christ's love into the lives of the children and students involved!
